From the brand's inception, we have continued to work closely and grow with the help and support of our retailers. Each with their own unique vision and approach to curating an interesting offering.

From high end fashion boutiques, to owner operated destinations, La Tribe finds home in a variety of beautiful spaces throughout Australia and New Zealand. In this series, we sat down with the people and faces behind these beautiful stores, to hear more about their vision.

Founded by Tracey Singleton, online boutique Saint Row is an extension of her personal tastes and experiences. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for discovering unique brands and boutiques around the world has inspired her unconventional career.

Saint Row focus on buying cohesive collections that aren’t defined by seasonal trends, ensuring every piece can be worn while relaxing with family during the day or going out with friends in the evening.

We caught up with Tracey Singleton, Founder & Director at Saint Row to find out more about her journey with fashion...

Describe the history behind your own personal retail journey. What is the inspiration behind Saint Row?

I have always loved design and good style. I studied interior architecture in London, later working with private clients to remodel homes in Belgravia and Sloane Square, then in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney and in Queenstown.

I got into retail when I worked as a buyer at Designer Forum in Sydney, sourcing stylish wardrobe pieces for the store. I love seasonless, easy clothes you can dress up or down and believe that quality pieces you’ll wear again and again are always worth investing in.

I started Saint Row to bring high-quality, contemporary clothes and accessories at attainable prices to women who appreciate modern luxury.

Tell us more about your boutique’s location. What do you love most about your area?

Saint Row started as an online store as I wanted to see how relevant it would be. The response has exceeded my expectations! I’m now preparing to open a physical store in Christchurch, my hometown, within the next 12 months.

I’m working on creating a beautiful, tranquil space where my customers can come to relax, browse, try things on and enjoy a personalised styling experience.

There must be quite a process to creating and curating a considered boutique offering. Can you take us through your buying process?

I take a timeless approach to style and try to curate an edit that’s effortless, well-made and will empower the woman who wears these pieces.

I want Saint Row to be synonymous with clothes that are easy to wear every day and can work for any occasion, in any season. I also tend to focus on brands that are mindful in their production process and care about sustainability.

What do you and your customers love most about the La Tribe offering?

I love that La Tribe is a local New Zealand brand and truly enjoy working with the amazing team. Our customers really appreciate that La Tribe pieces are always made with great quality, are comfortable and pair so well with almost any look.

La Tribe styles have just the right amount of edge that really elevates a wardrobe.

What is your favourite style this season and how will you wear it?

I’m obsessed with the Studded Sandals. The oversized buckle and studs really stand out and the wrap-around strap frames the foot.

I tend to pair them with a long dress or a maxi skirt and a tee. It’s the perfect look for brunch.
